December 4, 1941-July 4, 2021

CRAWFORDSVILLE-Robert E. Davis, 79, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the Parkview Home in Wayland. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the Marion Avenue Baptist Church in Washington. Burial will be in Cambrian Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Columbus Junction. A memorial fund has been established. Robert Edward Davis was born on December 4, 1941, in Washington, Iowa the son of Alfred Evans and Mary Eleanor (Griffith) Davis. Bob proudly served with the United States Army Reserves for six years. On November 19, 1967, Bob was united in marriage to Sandra Jenine Quigley in Letts. Bob was a farmer and also worked at Metro Mail in Mt. Pleasant. He was a member of Marion Avenue Baptist Church in Washington, Washington County Model Railroad Club, Burlington Route Historical Society and the Midwest Central Railroad and past member of the Salem Welsh Presbyterian Church. He was a railroad history buff, fan of NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jimmy Johnson. Bob was proud of his Welsh heritage and loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Bob will be dearly missed by his three children, Andrew Davis of Navarre, Florida, Mary (Asa) Rickard of Mount Union and Daniel Davis of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren, Jessie Davis, Haley Davis, Jonah Davis, Galechka Rickard and Zhanna Rickard and two siblings, Margaret Patterson of Crawfordsville and Dallas (Kay) Davis of Crawfordsville.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy in 2017; a daughter, Jennette Irene Davis in infancy and one brother, Gomer Davis.
