Leonard Rex

Leonard W. Rex, 80, of Bonaparte, died at 8 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 1990 at Fulton, Missouri.

Born March 24, 1910 at Haulboughe, Lincolnshire, England, he was the son of William and Elizabeth Clayton Rex. He married Anna Wenke June 17, 1936 in Fort Madison.

A retired farmer, he had spent most of his life on a farm near Bonaparte. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bonaparte.

Surviving are four sons, John Rex, Fulton, Missouri, Joe Rex, Farmington and Jim Rex and Jay Rex, both of Bonaparte; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The service for Mr. Rex was held Thursday, January 3, 1991 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with Reverend Fred Malone officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.

A memorial has been established for the Bonaparte First Responders. Contributions may be left at Hofbauer Funeral Home.
