Russell Jannings, 85, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas and formerly of Newbern, Tenn. died Sunday, May 20, in Baptist Hospital in Cherokee Village, Arkansas.
He was a retired president and chairman of the board of All-Wear Manufacturing Company in Newbern. He was a member of the Dyersburg Moose Lodge and Dyersburg-Dyer County Chamber of Commerce.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home in Newbern, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Pirtle and the Rev. Robin Allen.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Jannings of Cherokee Village; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Hennessey of Pasco, Wash. and Mrs. Mary Jo Adkinson of Des Moines, Iowa; one step-daughter, Mary Adcock of Newbern; one granddaughter, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandson and four step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Dyer County Union Mission.
He was a brother of the late Waldo Jannings.
