Roy R. Decker

Roy R. Decker, 89, of 1805 Dill St., died 6:10 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center's Klein Unit.

Born Sept. 29, 1899 in Illinois, he was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Decker. He married Lela Marriott Feb. 19, 1922, in Keosauqua. She died Feb. 25, 1989.

He was employed as a mechanic with the CB & Q and Burlington Northern railroads for 45 years. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Railroad Veterans.

There are no surviving relatives.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel.

The service for Mr. Decker will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Cemetery.
