Muriel N. Wallingford

Muriel N. Wallingford, 84, Bonaparte, died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 1989 at North Memorial Hospital, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mrs. Wallingford was born October 5, 1904 in Henry County. She lived on the same farm for 66 years. She was a member of the former Big Mound Methodist Church.

On December 25, 1921 at Hillsboro, she was married to Lacy O. Wallingford, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Arlene Paule, Burlington, Betty Vandenberg, Minneapolis, and Erma Cummings, O'Fallon, Illinois; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Her parents were Brinton and Susan Cabiness Brombaugh.

Services were held Saturday, February 11, 1989 at Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington. Burial was in Vale Cemetery in Bonaparte.

The family of Muriel Wallingford wish to express their thanks to Ron Hofbauer, Reverend Fred Malone, Mrs. Ronald Van Meter, and to pallbearers Lester Stecker, Larry Moore, Marty Gonterman, Harold Horstman, Bert Vandenberg and Dale Stecker for serving at the funeral of our loved one.

Also, we found comfort in the expressions of sympathy expressed by relatives, friends, and neighbors.
