Franklin E. Isaacson

Franklin E. Isaacson, 79, of Stockport died Tuesday, May 23, 1989 at 11:30 p.m. at the Nelson Nursing Home where he had been a resident since December 22, 1988.

Born September 25, 1909 at Woodhull, Illinois, he was the son of Frank O. and Anna Josephine Almquist Isaacson. The family moved to Hillsboro when Franklin was 10 years old, he attended from Hillsboro High School.

He married Maxine Pratt on September 17, 1938 at the Episcopal parsonage in Mt. Pleasant. They farmed in the Harrisburg community of Van Buren County until they retired and moved to Stockport in 1984. He was a member of the Methodist church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Surviving are his wife Maxine; two brothers, Merrill "Barney" Isaacson and Burdette Isaacson, both of Stockport; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 26, 1989 at the Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham. Pastor Sara Malone officiated. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.

Memorials may be made to the Stockport First Responders of the Stockport United Methodist Church.

Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham was in charge of the arrangements.
