SHERIFF OF CLARKE CO., (MO.) TAKEN-We learn from Van Buren county, that on the 20th instant Mr. Gregory, the Sheriff of Clarke County, Missouri, while attempting to collect taxes on the disputed territory, was taken into custody by Sheriff Heffleman, and brought to the town of Farmington, from which place he was proceeded hither yesterday or today. Mr. G. we understand, refuses bail, and avows his determination to await his trial.
