Double Wedding at Little Brown Church
On Sept. 7, 1938, the Little Brown Church near Nashua, Iowa, was the scene of the double wedding of Miss Ethel Hunter to Mr. Clarence De Lamater, and Miss Grace Hunter to Mr. Orville Lanman. The two sisters are the daughters of Mr. Nelson Hunter of Vernon Prairie community.
Mr. and Mrs. De Lamater departed Sept. 10 for Dan Diego, Calif., to make their home where Mr. De Lamater is connected with the loan and investment business.
Mr. and Mrs. Lanman are both graduates of the Farmington high school and also have graduated from Parsons college, taught in the rural schools of the county and the Mother Jewel’s Home in York, Neb. They will make their home on a farm east of Bonaparte where the groom has lived for a number of years.
