Preferred Death to School

AFTON, Ia., Sept. 10-Queenie Carroll, a 16-year-old girl of Afton, shot herself through the heart Friday afternoon and died instantly. She left a note saying her father insisted that she should attend school, but that she wished to learn the millinery trade and would rather die than attend school.
