MR. & MRS. GEORGE HART Celebrate 65 years.

Sunday, December 31, 1932, was the sixty-fifth wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. George Hart of Afton, and also the 89th birthday of Mr. Hart.

George W. Hart and Rebecca E. Tresler were married December 31, 1868. They made their home in Dodge Township for a number of years where they were engaged in farming, later moving to Afton where they have a nice home.

Mr. Hart is the only veteran of the Civil War now residing in Afton. He was a member of Company I, Fourth Iowa Calvary.

The occaison of Mr. & Mrs. Hart's Sixty-fifth anniversary was celebrated by the members of their family coming home, each bringing favorite dishes until the table was fairly loaded with good things to eat. Three large birthday cakes graced the table.

Those present were: Mr. & Mrs. George W. Hart, Mr. & Mrs John M. Hart, Mr. & Mrs. M. V. Henderson, Mr.& Mrs. E. M. Utterback, Mr. & Mrs. F. G. Stevenson, Mr. & Mrs. Claude G. Hart, Mr. & Mrs. Bernie Lewis, George S. Hart, G. Kenneth Hensderson, Mrs. Aldene Reed, Dean and Nola Utterback, Hanford Hart, Leona, Laurene and Georgina ---[few words missing.]
