Alice Marion Young formerly of New Market, Iowa, died Monday, July 18th, 2005 in Tucson, Arizona from complications following a stroke
She was born January 27th, 1916, in Bedford, Iowa to Clifton W. and Nancy Arminda (Pace) Rayborn. Marion was married to Harvey C. Young in Nebraska City, Nebraska July 19th, 1938.
Prior to marriage, Marian taught country school in Taylor and Page counties. She was later employed by Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the Taylor County, Iowa Sheriff's Office as a dispatcher and secretary and as a volunteer librarian at the New Market, Iowa Public Library.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harvey, and her brother Robert Rayborn. She is survived by her other brother, 2 daughters, and son. Seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral and internment was at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetary in Tucson, Arizona. Services were officiated by Rev. Ken Alstead of the Dove of Peace Lutheran Church in Tucson.
