WRIGHT COUNTY MAN DEAD
H. R. Brace, Well-Known Resident of Clarion, Buried at Toledo

Toledo, April 14 – The remains of H. R. Brace, a prominent Wright County citizen and for many years a resident of Clarion, were brought to this city [Toledo] on Saturday and interred in the Toledo cemetery, Saturday afternoon. The funeral services were held in Clarion and nothing but a brief prayer service was conducted here in connection with the interment. Mr. Brace was the father of Mrs. W. D. Lee, of this city, wife of the editor of the Chronicle. He was 70 years of age. The aged wife of the deceased and three sons, Messrs. Clarence and Clifford Brace, of Clarion, and Mr. Stanley Brace, of Eagle Grove, accompanied the remains to this city. [According to the 1895 Iowa census and 1900 Federal census, Wright County, Halsey Brace was born in Feb. 1820, making him 82 years of age when he died.]
