Worthy Couple Celebrated Twenty-fifth Wedding Anniversary Last Tuesday
Twenty-five years ago Tuesday occurred the ceremony which united Mr. Joseph Duea and Miss Malinda Jondall in the holy bonds of matrimony, and they deemed it befitting to celebrate the anniversary with their numerous friends. They invited about two hundred guests to a four o'clock dinner at their home north of town and the day being ideal, everything went off in a most satisfactory way.
The evening was spent in a social way, and a short program of toasts was given by Messrs Rev. J. N. Sandven, S. J. Michaelson, H. E. Myrah, E. F. Bell and C. Logan. Mr. Myrah also presented the worthy couple with a purse of nearly two hundred silver dollars from the assembled guests, to which Mr. Duea eloquently responded. They were also the recipients of a lot of very pretty and expensive silverware.
Mr. and Mrs. Duea have twelve children, all of which are living. They are Anna Mae, Jonas, Homer, Cora, Mabel, Myrtle, Fay, Irene, Victor, Joseph, Rosabella, and Benjamin.
At a late hour, the guests departed for their respective homes, expressing the wish that they be able to help celebrate their golden anniversary, twenty-five years hence.
