Education: She attended St. Boniface Grade and High School, Westphalia, IA and graduated with the Class of 1951; she then attended Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1963. She also pursued many other educational courses in the following years while teaching at the University of Nebraska (Omaha), the University of Colorado, Adams State College, and Arizona State University.

Religious affiliation: Was baptized, confirmed and received her First Holy Communion at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Westphalia, IA

Employment: She taught various elementary grades for 17 years in Wisconsin and Nebraska. She was an elementary school principal for 2 years in Bloomfield, NE and 6 years in Denver, CO.

Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed writing teaching ideas for publication in educational magazines, traveling with her husband, attending classical concerts, visiting art galleries and historical museums, and reading
