Employment: After her children were older, Ramona started working at Happy Chef Restaurant, Council Bluffs, IA and enjoyed working there for many years. In 1995, after Ramona and Ray moved to Elk Horn, IA, she worked at Elk Horn Nursing Home in Elk Horn, IA and the Salvation Army in Atlantic, IA. She retired in 2006.
Hobbies/Interests: Was an avid reader, puzzler and crocheter; enjoyed volunteering at Vacation Bible School at church and making cookies for her children's school activities. She enjoyed time spent with friends at Card Club and bowling league in Minden, IA. Ramona and Ray enjoyed long road trips and vacations and having long conversations in the car about life and their dreams, as well as their flower gardens and being one in nature. After Ramona moved to Ft. Dodge, IA, she was very active in making prayer shawls for St. Olaf Lutheran Church. In 2020, she moved in with her daughter Susan and family in Rosemount, MN. There, she enjoyed going to the beach and having her feet in the sand, visiting with neighbors and enjoying the family cats. She loved attending her granddaughter Raellen's many activities.
