Military service: Enlisted in the U. S. Army in March 1958 and was stationed in Fort Campbell, KY; he attended and completed Airborne School and joined the 101st Airborne Division; honorably discharged June 1962

Employment: Was a man of many trades but spent most of his working years as a farmer

Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting; after he met Sharon Fast in May 1991, they loved to travel, spending their summers at the farm and wintering in Zapata, TX
