Survived by: Children, James (spouse, Amy) Fah of Elkhorn, NE, Jeff (spouse, Susie) Fah of Earling, IA and Jane (spouse, John) Wehr of Olathe, KS; grandchildren, Jocelyn (spouse, Dan), of Olathe KS, Janelle (spouse, Michael), also of Olathe, KS, Mason (spouse, Annie) of Elkhorn, NE, Taylor (spouse, Monte) of Ankeny IA, Patrick (spouse, Lauren) of Earling, IA, Thomas of Groton, CT, and Joseph, Stephen, and Catherine of Earling, IA; great-grandchildren, Nova, Wendy, Luna, and Archie; brother, Ron White of Santa Rosa, CA, other family members and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, Earl and Inez (nee Clinton) White; husband, Joe (deceased in 2002)

Education: Graduated from Creston (IA) High School, Class of 1955

Religious affiliation: Joyce was always a member of a nondenominational Christian church, including being a founding member of Christ’s Church in Harlan. She was an active member at her church and served in numerous leadership roles.

Marriage: Joseph Fah; Dec. 21, 1956; Omaha, NE

Employment: After graduation from high school, Joyce relocated to Omaha, NE and worked as a telephone operator. When she married and had children, Joyce was a homemaker; some time later, she worked in housekeeping at Baptist Memorial Nursing Home, Harlan, IA, and continued to do so at Elm Crest Senior Living Community, also located in Harlan, IA.

Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed watching sports, especially football, and cheering on the Chicago White Sox. She was a member of the Shelby County Historical Society and had previously served as president. Mostly, she loved being with family.
