Employment: After his military service, Nick embraced becoming a farmer: He loved farming and raising cattle. Additionally, he spent time as a Lynx Seed Corn Salesman. Nick spent every Saturday at the Red Oak (IA) cattle barn to buy cattle and the Dunlap (IA) sales barn most Tuesdays to sell cattle.

Hobbies/Interests: Loved to be with family and watch his daughters' sporting events; was a competitive card player, playing pitch with the Springmans and canasta with the Meiers. Was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals; member, National Farmers Organization
