DEATH of MRS. OLLIE FERBER.

After a lingering illness, Mrs. Ollie FERBER passed away at her home Saturday evening. She had been in declining health for several years and her critical illness covered a period of many weeks, during which she was confined to her bed. While death was not unexpected announcement of her passing came as a shock to friends. She had lived in Mount Ayr and vicinity since childhood, was active in church and lodge circles and was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends. For many years she had conducted the FERBER House, two blocks north of the square. Her cheerful, happy, generous and kind disposition endeared her to all her acquaintances and at her death the community mourns.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church, being conducted by the pastor, Rev. E[dwin] S. MENOHER, and interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Ollie Jane FERBER was born near Fairfield, Iowa, December 14, 1871, and came with her parents to Mount Ayr in 1876. She had lived in this vicinity since that time. She passed away at her home in Mount Ayr Saturday evening, March 15, 1930, at the age of 58 years, three months and one day. On February 26, 1895, she was united in marriage to Francis Edward FERBER who passed away May 27, 1925. She united with the Methodist church in Mount Ayr in the fall of 1896 and was active in the church life as long as her health permitted. She was a charter member of the Royal Neighbors lodge at Mount Ayr, a member of the Rebekah lodge and active in W.C.T.U. work when she was able to attend. She will be missed by her relatives and a large circle of friends. She is survived by two brothers, John A. WEBB of Puyallup, Wash., and W. D. WEBB of Topeka, Kan., and one sister, Mrs. L. M. DONAHOE of Mount Ayr; also seven nephews and three nieces.
