Brown, Bernice Edna Williams -
Graveside funeral services for Bernice Brown, (wife of "Skeeter" Brown), age 80 of Branson, Mo., formerly of Lenox, who died Nov. 23, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nev. were held Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at North Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Dena Vittorio officiating. Memorials can be given in her name. Services were conducted by
the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox.

Bernice Edna Brown was born August 9, 1919 in Lenox, the daughter of Burt Williams and Tura Young Williams. She grew up attending school in Lenox, graduating in 1935.

In 1938 she was united in marriage to Marvin "Skeeter" Brown in Maryville, Mo. To this union two children were born, Leonard and Roger.
Bernice was a homemaker most of her life. She and Skeeter lived in Lenox until 1960 when they moved to Clarinda, retiring in 1975, when they moved to Branson, Missouri.

Bernice continued living in Branson following the death of her husband in 1995. After suffering a stroke in August of this year, she moved to Las Vegas to live with her son, Leonard.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Leonard Brown and fiancee Sandra Tabor of Las Vegas, Nevada and Roger Brown and wife Rhonda of Lawrence, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Bertha Williams of Lenox and Bernice Brown of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband Skeeter in 1995, her parents, Burt and Tura, and two brothers, Melvin and Glen.
