Hersom, Beulah Carson -
Beulah Hersom of Diagonal passed away May 20, 1999 at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr at the age of 89.

Mrs. Hersom, the daughter of Albert Eugene and Maud B. (Everting) Carson, was born October 24, 1909 in Adams County. She was united in marriage to Everette L. "Pink" Hersom in Grant City, Mo., on May 13, 1931.

She was a homemaker and helped her husband in the blue grass and corn shelling business and lime and fertilizer hauling, She lived in Diagonal all her life.

She is survived by a niece (raised by Mrs. Hersom) Betty (husband Bob) Shaefer of Diagonal; two brothers, Leo Carson of Diagonal and Earl (wife Phyllis) Carson of Lineville: and a sister-in-law, Thelma Carson of Lineville.

Preceding her in death were her husband in 1971; her parents; two brothers, Ray and Ivan Carson; and a sister, Lola Carson.

Services were held May 24 at the United Church of Diagonal, with the Rev. Pam Farren officiating. Burial was in Knowlton Cemetery, northeast of Diagonal. The Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home of Diagonal was in charge of arrangements.
