OBITUARY - MRS. THOMAS MURRAY

Mrs. Madge D. MURRAY, 60, of 608 Morris St. died at 9:30 a.m. today at St. Joseph Hospital following an illness of several years.

She was the daughter of Melvin and Mary WELLS THOMPSON and was born in [near Redding] Ringgold County, Iowa, on March 9, 1902. She had been a resident of Ollie and Blakesburg communities for many years prio to moving to Ottumwa four years ago. She was a member of the Pleasant Home Church.

Her marriage to Thomas H. MURRAY took place May 19, 1921, in Ottumwa. He survives. She is also survived by three sons, Thomas MURRAY, Jr., in California, Paul E. MURRAY of Columbia, S.C., and Marvin R. MURRAY of California; five daughters, Mrs. Mary EIFFERT of Carlton, Wash., Mrs. Marvelle LEFFLER of Unionville, Route 1, Mrs. JoAnne JOHNSTON of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Judy BICKEL of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Karon WILLIAMS of Center Point, Iowa; 21 grand children; five brothers; three sisters; and her mother, Mrs. Mary THOMPSON of Mount Ayr.

The body is at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. [Interment was at Shaul Cemetery, Ottumwa, Iowa.]
