OBITUARY - CRUNK

Mary Jane MORRIS was born in Nashville, Tenn. March 6, 1852, and departed this life February 21, 1931 [Geary, Oklahoma], at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 16 days. She moved with her parents to [Ringgold County] Iowa, where she was united in marriage to James RUSH at the age of 20 [February 8, 1872]. To this union were born 10 children, five of whom preceded her to the great beyond. Her husband died in 1910 [November 8] and she was married to C. W. CRUMP (sic, should be CRUNK) in 1916. He died in 1927 and she has since lived with her children.

She suffered a stroke of paralysis last April and was almost helpless since that time. She had another stroke on Tuesday and died at 11:55 Saturday [February 21, 1931]. She leaves to mourn her death one daughter, Sina JOHNSON of Geary, and four sons, William RUSH of Jumbo, Charley RUSH of Loco, Clarence RUSH of Percell and Elwood RUSH of Geary, where she was at the time of her death. She also leaves 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. CRUMP (sic) united with the Baptist church when a girl. After her marriage to James RUSH, he being a Methodist, she changed her membership. After his death she changed to the Nazarene church and was a faithful worker until her death. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her, having such a sunny disposition. She will be missed in her children's homes and by all who knew her.

Farewell, dear, but not forever;
There will be a glorious dawn.
We shall meet to part, no never,
On that resurrection morn.
