DEATH OF WILLIAM MINNICK

William MINNICK, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter [and Cynthia (ARMSTRONG)] MINNICK, was born December 12, 1834 [Indiana], and departed this life January 13, 1918, aged 83 years, 1 month and 1 day.

At the age of three years Mr. MINNICK came with his parents to Missouri, settling near Worthington, where he resided until about 1 year ago when he came to Ringgold County, where he resided until his death. He was married to Miss Celina WHITWORTH in 1851 [November 16, Putnam Co. MO] and to this union 10 children were born, 2 dying in infancy. The living children are Margaret HOUTZ of Oklahoma, Aaron MINNICK of Illinois, Ziforah AXTEL, Centerville, Cora COMSTOCK, Cincinnati, Iowa, Jesse, George, Mrs. Leona SMITH, Sarah MOORE, Worth Hoover of Ringold County.

In 1891, Mr. MINNICK was married to Nancy WHITE, who, with the children, are left to mourn his depature.

The body was shipped to his old home at Worthington, Mo. January 15, where burial will take place.

Mr. MINNICK was converted at the age of 40 and united with the U.B. [United Brethren] Church and lived a true chirstian life until the end.
