OBITUARY - JOHN E. DUGAN
1926 - 2010

Mr. DUGAN was born June 20, 1926, in Ringgold County, Iowa, son of Guy and Mayme DUGAN. He grew up and attended school in Maloy, Iowa. He joined the Army, 96th Infantry Division, in 1944 at the age of 18 and was discharged February 19, 1946.

John married Audry FROMHOLZ and later divorced. To this union two daughters were born, Saundra Leah and Victoria Jane.

He moved to St. Joseph in 1952, working 10 years at Swift & Company, and retiring in 1986 from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of service.

John later married Eva M. HOSKINS in 1975, who survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leland DUGAN; and sister, Mary Margaret BRENIZER.

Additional survivors are two daughters, Saundra BARQUIST and husband, Robert, Raytown, Mo.; Victoria SMITH and husband, Gregg, Kansas City, Mo.; step-daughter, Anna GWINN and husband, Kevin, St. Joseph; sister, Mildred AUSTIN, Kansas City; three grandsons; two step-granddaughters; one step-grandson; five great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
