OBITUARY - BYRON "GENE" GREENMAN
March 6, 1928 - November 8, 2010

Byron "Gene" GREENMAN passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2010. He was born in Ringgold county on March 6, 1928 to Weldon and Grace GREENMAN. Byron moved to Valley Junction in 1955 and lived there most of his life. He was an excellent carpenter and retired from AMF-Western Tool. Byron loved music, was an accomplished musician and enjoyed his Sunday night Bluegrass parties.

Byron is survived by his daughter, Peggy A. GREENMAN of Des Moines, Iowa; son, John W. (Angie) GREENMAN of West Des Moines, Iowa; son, Edward R. (Nancy) GREENMAN of Windsor Heights, Iowa; step-daughter, Penn (Scott) DONNELLY of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

Byron was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Welda.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2010 at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd., Clive, Iowa. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr.
