January 3, 1950 - October 6, 2010Donna HARDISTY, 60, of the Corning and Carl areas, died October 6, 2010 at her home.
Donna Rae (EMIG) HARDISTY, daughter of Darlene Lucille (LANTZ) and Gerald Henry EMIG, was born January 3, 1950, in Leon.
Donna grew up attending school in the Redding and Lenox areas. On August 4, 1968, Donna married Donald HARDISTY. The couple moved to the family farm where they continued to live. Donna worked with Don on the farm.
In her earlier years, Donna attended the Christian church in Lenox and was active in teaching Sunday school and Bible school. She also taught Sunday school at the Carl church.
Donna is survived by her husband, Don HARDISTY of the Corning and Carl areas; son, David James (wife Ann) HARDISTY of Panora, Iowa; brothers, Gary (wife Linda) EMIG and Larry (wife Carol) EMIG, both of Eagleville, MO; sisters, Karyn (husband Bob) GRAHAM of Benton, Iowa and Darla (husband Don) BROWN of Ridgeway, Missouri; granddaughters, Hannah and Emme HARDISTY of Panora, Iowa, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jerry and Rodney EMIG.
Services were held Saturday, October 9, at Roland-Ritchie Funeral Home, 905 Benton Avenue, Corning. Interment was held in Carl Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Carl Church. Online condolences may be left at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com.
