March 15, 1990OBITUARY - GEORGE COFFIN
Memorial services for George COFFIN, 86, of North Street, who died March 4 in Zephyrhills, [Pasco County] Fla., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Watson Funeral Home, Central Square. Spring burial will be in Maple Flats Cemetery [Vienna, Oneida County, New York].
There will be no calling hours.
A native of New York City [where he was born May 12, 1903], Mr. COFFIN lived in Cleveland about 80 years. He retired as a bridge carpenter after 40 years with O&W Railroad. Mr. COFFIN also was a self-employed carpenter in later years. His wife, Ila [Mae (HAGEMAN, born in Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa], died in 1972.
Mr. COFFIN was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cleveland and a past master of Cleveland Lodge, F&AM. He also was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and the Zephyrhills Tourist Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley SPOON of Williamstown and Dawn COFFIN of Paso Robles, Calif.; two brothers, Charles and Clifford, both of Cleveland; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made to the North Shore Ambulance Corps, Cleveland.
