OBITUARY - FRANCES ANNE WILMES

Frances Anne WILMES, 64, Maryville, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville.

She was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Camp Gordon, Georgia to John and Wilberta (GERINGER) GARRITY. A graduate of Grand River, Iowa High School, she was a retired postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service.

Anne married Leroy A. WILMES on July 27, 1991, in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. She was a member of the St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.

Preceeding her in death were her parents and sister, Patricia GARRITY.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy WILMES, of the home in Maryville; son Brad STILL, Kellerton, Iowa; daughter, Beth COMBS, Marion, Iowa; five grandchildren; 27 step-grandchildren; 23 step-great-grandchildren; four step-sons: Andy WILMES, Tulsa, Okla., Tom WILMES, Maryville, Larry WILMES, Florence, Ala., and Kenneth WILMES, Nashville, Tenn.; seven step-daughters: Judy SOBBING, Gladstone, Mo., Jeanie BURNS, Kansas City, Mo., Janie WILMES, Kansas City, Joy FARNAN, Richmond, Mo.; Joan MARKWORTH, Smithville, Mo., Jolene GUINN, Orange, Fla., and Jennifer SWAIM, Jasper, Mo.; sister Kathleen FRITZ, Cumming, Iowa; and brother John GARRITY, Phoenix, Ariz.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville.

Visitation: 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a Parish Rosary, both also at the church.

Burial: Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Iowa

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
