December of 1961OBITUARY - GUY C. IMUS
Guy C[arlton] IMUS, 88, of Stehekin, early-day employee of the U.S. Forest Service, and well known as a packer and guide, died Monday in a Spokane hospital, after a long illness.
He was born in [Ringgold County] Iowa, December 12, 1873, and came to the Chelan area in 1900. He moved to Spokane a few months ago to make his home with his daughter, Margie RICE.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Lois POPE, Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Margie RICE, Spokane, Mrs. Cora FORD, Soap Lake; Mrs. Beryl COURTNEY, Stehekin, and Mrs. Omer TRACY, Corning, Calif.; one son, Guy R. IMUS, Stehekin; two sisters in Texas; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today with Smith Funeral Home in charge.
