OBITUARY - MARY LOUISE (STRINGHAM) KING

Mary Louise KING was born to Ralph W. & Sarah May (Jones) Stringham on August 21, 1919 at Mount Ayr, Iowa. Mary graduated from Mount Ayr High School. On September 4, 1937, she was united in marriage to Glenn R. KING in Fort Dodge, Iowa. They made their home in Afton since January 1949. Mary was the bookkeeper for Afton Implement, a John-Deere dealership owned by her and her husband. Mary was a loving wife and mother. Mary passed away on March 4, 2007 at the Afton Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glenn on October 14, 1990; an infant daughter Sharon KING; four brothers Berdine, Vern, Sandy, and Charles STRINGHAM; and two sisters Agnes SHOPE and Cleo HAMPTON. Survivors include her two sons Vernon KING of Afton and Doug KING and wife Missy of Baxter, Iowa; one grandson Nathan KING; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
