OBITUARY - LOUISA HAGAN.
Died, at Watterson, Iowa, October 9, 1925, Mrs. Louisa Permelia HAGAN, age 87 years, one month and 22 days. She was born in Morgan county, Illinois, on August 17, 1838.
She was united in marriage to S. J. G. HAGAN November 9th, 1856. To this union three children were born. In the year of 1875 she was converted to Christ and the faith that was once delivered to the saints and united with the Hickory Grove A. C. church. She was a great lover of her Bible and a firm believer of its truths and its precious promises. We believe that she died in possession of the "Blessed Hope" and earnestly looking for the soon coming of her Redeemer.
On October the 9th, 1918, her husband preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her death three children, Mrs. Amanda BUTLER and Mrs. Alrialda CAIN, of Watterson, Iowa, and Mr. Albert HAGAN, of Mount Ayr, Iowa; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; three brothers and one sister and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Hickory Grove church on October 11, at ten a.m. in the midst of a host of sorrowing neighbors and friends, who came to pay their last tribute of respect to one so long beloved by all.
Words of comfort was spoken (sic) by her pastor from 1 Thess. 4:13-14, after which she was laid to rest in the Oak Ridge cemetery. She sleeps awaiting the resurrection morning.
