OBITUARY.
Franklin GUYMAN was born in Vermillion county, Illinois, in the year 1829, and died at Mt. Ayr, Iowa, January 22, 1889. He removed from Illinois to Iowa, and from this state to Missouri. His home for some years has been at Hale, Carroll county, Missouri. Last fall he went to Conley Springs for his health, but was shortly afterward brought to Mt. Ayr by his son-in-law, Mr. A. C. PAYNE. He joined the Christian church in 1879. His first marriage was with Miss Mary J. CHURCH. After her death he was twice again married. Mrs. A. C. PAYNE, of our city, and other children survive. During his sickness he bore clear testimony to a knowledge of salvation. The funeral sermon was preached at the m. E. church by Rev. W. B. THOMPSON. His body was laid away by the Masonic Fraternity [at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa].
