NOTICE of DEATH.

The wife of Mr. Jacob GUSTIN was out in the garden a week ago last Saturday, when she was bitten on the foot by a rattlesnake. She applied some known remedy and thought she was improving for several days, but all this time it seems the poison was actively permeating her entire system, till, realizing that she was growing worse, last Sabbath Drs. WILLEY and MERRILL were called; when they arrived she was rapidly sinking to rise no more. She died Sabbath evening.

NOTE: Mary E., wife of Jacob J. GUSTIN, was born in 1821 and died on June 29, 1873 at the age of fifty-two years and two months. She was interred at Union Cemetery near Diagonal, Ringgold County, Iowa. Jacob J. GUSTIN was born April 5, 1817 and died on April 11, 1891 with interment at Union Cemetery.
