OBITUARY - SAMUEL FENDER

Osage City.--Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Methodist Church here for Samuel E. FENDER, 79, who died Sunday at his home here.

He was born December 23, 1886, in Beaconsfield, Iowa, and had lived in Osage City 42 years. He was a retired auto mechanic.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ella SHORT, Los Angeles, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Eula YOUNG, Burlingame; a sister, Mrs. Merzetta HILDERBRAND, Beaconfield, Iowa; five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Osage City Cemetery. Mr. FENDER will lie from 1 to 2 p.m Thursday at the church. McElfresh and Son Mortuary at Osage City is in charge of arrangements.
