OBITUARY - MRS. IVAN CREVELING

Pauline A. CREVELING, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. TOMAN, was born in Washington township, Ringgold county, Iowa, September 12, 1893, where she grew to womanhood, and departed this life at her home near Ellston, Iowa, January 21, 1931, at the age of 37 years, four months and nine days. On January 21, 1914, she was united in marriage to Ivan CREVELING, and to this union were born three children, Wayne, Lois, and Reson. A sister and brother have preceded her in death.

Besides the loving husband and children she leaves to mourn her death her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. TOMAN, four brothers, John, David, Victor and Edward, all of Diagonal, and a house of relatives and friends.

About twelve years ago she became afflicted and grew gradually worse through the years, since that time until death claimed her. She was patient through all those years and devoted her time in a bright, cheerful way. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother of a kind and cheeful disposition. She spoke kindly of everyone she met and was willing to help in time of need. Because of her fine christian character she made herself a large place in the community and home and will be greatly missed by her relatives and many friends.

Those from a distance who were in attendance at the funeral were Otto and Rudolph TOMAN and Mrs. Francis KARAS of Pine City, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. A. J. PESEK of Creston, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred MARTIN and their son Albert and wife, all of Overland Park, Kan.

A precious one from us had gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
There is a vacancy in our home
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled
The boon his love has given
And thought the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in Heaven.
Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon, January 23, at 2:30 o'clock at the Ellston M. E. church and were conducted by Rev. L. G. WOLFE. Interment was made in the Ellston Cemetery.

Card of Thanks.

We desire to take this means of thanking the kind friends and neighbors who have extended sympathy and kindness during the illness and after the death of our beloved wife, mother and daughter. We are especially thankful to the neighbors and friends in the Ellston community for the many acts of kindness shown during her long illness, and also to the friends in the Diagonal community who have shown such true sympathy.--Ivan CREVELING and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. TOMAN and family.
