Irvin Milne Funeral Is Today
Irvin Clyde Milne, 67, lifelong Griswold area resident, died early Monday morning at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs after a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 14, 1908, in Wright Township, northwest of Griswold, the son of Alex and Olive Corderman Milne, and was married to Lucille McCormick at the Methodist parsonage in Atlantic on July 3, 1928. They moved to Griswold in 1937 and he was a mechanic for Griswold Community School District for 15 years.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Maurice Milne of Griswold and Neal Milne of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Royce (Geradline) Wentworth of Cresco; five grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Milne of Griswold. Preceding him in death were an infant son and a brother, Merrill Milne. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Wagler Funeral Home in Griswold with Rev. Richard Hohl, Pastor of the Griswold United Methodist Church, officiating. Rev. Hohl will be solist and Mrs. Arvil Phillips is organist. In charge of the flowers are Mr. and Mrs. John Paulsen and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Curtis. Bearers are Gerald Houser, Ted Houser, Robert Redding, David Milne, Marion Houser and Dennis Nelson.
