Charlotte Dryden, Teacher and County Superintendent of Schools, Council Bluffs; born Hardin Township, Pottawattamie County, Jan. 3, 1871; Protestant, Republican; educated Carson, lowa, High School; Grinnell Academy graduate; Grinnell College Bachelor of Philosophy; Ames College Bachelor of Science; Ames post-grad. Master of Science; taught school 16 yrs. as assistant principal and principal of High School; county superintendent 1910-11; Ames Instructor 1911-18; County Superintendent Pottawattamie County Schools 1918 to date; has written for several magazines, short articles in prose and a few poems; president literary society in Grinnell; vice-president Ames post-graduate, club; member of Daughters of Veterans and also Daughters of the American Revolution ; vice-president Business Woman's Club of Council Bluffs for 1919-20; chairman executive committee of S. W. I. T. Assn.; member National Geographic Association, Former residences, Ames, Iowa 1911-18; Glidden, Iowa 1906-10.
[Charlotte “Lottee” Dryden was the daughter of Drury F. Dryden and Gertrude Goss. Charlotte married Harry L. Robertson on Oct 10, 1929 in Council Bluffs. She died in Los Angeles, California on Nov 16, 1958]
