Betty Scheffers, 63, passed away unexpectedly at her home January 19, 2012.

Betty was born July 29, 1948, in Centerville, Iowa, to Eugene “Deanie Dad” and Midge “Big Mom” Hudson. She loved taking care of others. Betty also loved NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon.

Betty is survived by her husband of 45 years, Fred; children, Robert and Cindy; daughter-in-law, Tina; siblings, Barb Hannah, Gary, Dean and Marilyn Hudson; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeffery.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
