Frank M. Barvinek, 75, lost his battle with cancer November 22, 2011, at Iowa Methodist Hospital.
Frank was born in Cedar Rapids, IA, on September 12, 1936. He was an avid Iowa State fan and was a member of a bowling league for many years.
Frank is survived by his three children, Lori (Kyle) Linn of Fayetteville, AR, Susan (Tom) Mass, of Ankeny, and Joel (Cheryl) Barvinek of Lake Wylie, SC; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Midge) Barvinek; and sister, Linda (Dave) Cosgrove, both of Cedar Rapids.
A visitation will be held Sunday, November 27, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Memorial Services of Iowa chapel (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.) Funeral services will be held at the same location on Monday, November 28 at 11 a.m. with burial to follow.
Memorials will be given to the American Cancer Society and his church.
