Paul J. Griffin, 52, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. He was born December 2, 1952 in England, to Donald and Margaret (Sparks) Griffin.
Paul worked for John Deere Manufacturing as an Inspector for over ten years. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson and motorcycles in general, as well as spending time with his family and life in the country.
Paul is survived by wife, Sharol; daughter, Mary Purcell; sons, Jason Purcell, Morgan Griffin and Landon Griffin; brother, William Griffin; aunt, Marilyn Winebrenner; as well as two cousins, Kirk and Brenda Winebrenner. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathy Griffin.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2011, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. A family gathering will be held after the visitation at 6520 SE Sundancer Swing in Pleasant Hill.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Paul.
