Mrs. Mevelyn "Sandy" Gunn, 77 passed away December 3, 2011.
Home going services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Union Baptist Church with interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 59 years, James D. Gunn, Jr; her children, Linda Gunn-Terrell, Emmitt (Anita) Gunn, Dennis (Kimi) Gunn, and Penny Morris; siblings, Marvin Cooper, Rev. Larry Cooper, Myrtle Thomas, Jerry Cooper and Clydette Cox; step-father, Clyde Drain; twelve grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; church family and friends.
Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the family will receive friends at Union Baptist Church's Fellowship Hall from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
