Angelo, 82, passed December 5, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 9 at Brooks Tonini Chapel, 2135 SW 9th Street. His family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m.
Angelo Robert Marchesano, son of Martin and Anna Marie (Santoro) Marchesano, was born April 11, 1929 in Des Moines. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On December 30, 1950, Angelo was united in marriage with Loretta Weinard. He worked 42 years in beverage sales for Cimino Distributing. Angelo was an avid bowler, golfer and softball player in his younger years. He was a member of the Bellizzi-MacRae American Legion.
Those left to honor Angelo's memory include his wife of nearly 61 years, Loretta; daughters, Cathi and Deb; sons, Jamie (Denise) and Robbie (Christine); his sister, Marguerite Walker; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
