Jessie Mildred Wiese, age 98, passed away June 26, 2012 at Valley View Village in Des Moines, Iowa. Her memorial service will be held at Valley View Village on July 3, 2012 at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Wiese was born December 11, 1913 in Benton, Iowa to Eber and Pearl German. She married Merle H. Wiese, the love of her life, on March 5, 1932 and they had two children. Jessie and Merle moved to Des Moines from Grimes, Iowa in 1952. She was employed by Preferred Risk Insurance Company (Guide One Insurance) and a member of First Church of the Open Bible. She was a wonderful, kind, gentle, and caring Godly woman who loved her family. She was known for her beautiful smile. Her family is comforted knowing she is rejoicing in Heaven with her Savior, her husband Merle, her two sisters, and one brother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Rheta Rundberg (her husband Charles) and David Wiese (his wife Sharon); six grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sister, Lavon Walker; and a close friend, Mary Hickey.
