Selba Donley, 81, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Selba was born February 17, 1931 in Shelbyville, Missouri. She retired from Social Security Administration after 26 years of service. Selba enjoyed attending King of Kings Church and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for opening up her home to many people in need of a place to stay.
Selba is survived by her children, Durwin Donley, Diane Donley-Moore, Kim Francis, John Donley and Ashley Donley; a host of grandchildren, Markisha and Martina Carr-Jefferson, Dominique Francis, Demetrius Francis, Justin and Julian Donley, Taneeka Donley, Durwin Donley Jr., Denaro Lee Jr., Asianea White and Trentity and TreShawn Brown; great-grandchildren, Malik Martin, Jarreau and Jamari Jefferson; sister, Sharon Kelly; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Luther Donley.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 12 p.m. followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. A funeral service will also be held Monday, June 25, 2012 at 1 p.m. at King of Kings, 619 SE 15th St.
