Holly Lynn Heskett, 51, died on Monday, October 8, 2012, due to complications of diabetes. In agreement with Holly's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, at Iles Funeral Homes, Westover Chapel in Des Moines, where a brief memorial service will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Holly was born on November 9, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Larry and Dixie (Rhoades) Heskett. She graduated from Hoover High School, Grandview College, and received her Law Degree from Drake University.
Holly lived in Des Moines most of her life, and spent her professional career in the Wealth Management Industry. She was crazy about all animals with a special passion for horses and dogs. She raised many litters of puppies and brought several wobbly legged foals into this world.
Holly also adored her niece and nephew, taking special pride in their accomplishments throughout her life.
She will be remembered with love by her father and step mother, Larry and Jeannine Heskett of Walworth, WI; sister, Tracy Lepeltak of Waukee, IA; niece, Leslie Lepeltak of Denver, CO; nephew, Steven Lepeltak of Des Moines, IA; and her best furry friend, Ernie. Holly was preceded in death by her mother, Dixie Heskett; brother-in-law, John Lepeltak; and grandparents, Helen Rhoades, Elma Heskett, and Otis Heskett.
Remembrances in honor of Holly should be gifted to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
