Maxine (Sickerson) Chadwick, 81, of West Des Moines passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Maxine was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. She graduated from East High School in 1949 and met her husband of 61 years, Wayne, at the roller skating rink. They were married at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa on Nov. 18th, 1950.
Maxine leaves behind 5 children, CoAnn Kelly (Roger), Allen Chadwick (Mary), Penny Boswell (Brian), Lynne Horst (John), Beth Wright (Brett), 11 grandchildren, Melissa Grabill (Tom), Michele Bolton, K.C. Kelly, Brookes Boswell, Michael Boswell, Emilia Chadwick, Natalie Chadwick, Evan Chadwick, Chrisoula (Mouzakis) Harris (Justin), Katherine Mouzakis, Allicya Wright, and 3 great grandchildren Lisa Kirk, Natasha Hergert and Kirsten Palmer. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Lavora (Dyer) Sickerson and her sister, Barbara Bell.
