A memorial service for Kurt and Marcelyn Urban will be held at 1 p.m., October 27, 2012 at Windsor United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetary.
While living in Des Moines, Kurt was vice-president of Hawkeye Security Ins Co and Northeastern Ins Co of Hartford. Kurt served as a trustee of Windsor UMC, member of the American Legion and served eleven years on the Windsor Heights City Council.
Marcelyn was a member of PEO, DAR, president of Windsor's United Methodist Women and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Kurt was born February 21, 1922 in Vienna, Austria and passed away May 23, 2012 in Green Valley, AZ.
Marcelyn was born Marcelyn McPherson, Febraury 1, 1925 in Stuart, IA and passed away September 13, 2012 in Green Valley, AZ.
They are survived by their children KJ Urban (Sandy) San Simon, AZ and Marilee (Bud) Taber, Green VAlley, AZ and grandchildren Jason Urban (Jewell), Ohio; Jody Wilson, Texas; Reggie Reed (Kasey), Minnesota and Ross Reed, Minnesota, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be given to the hospice of your choice.
