Janice "Jan" M. Smith Wells, 61, passed away on October 25, 2012. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Grandview Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at 5 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Jan was born March 17, 1951 in Des Moines, the daughter of Gerald "Jerry" and LaWanna Smith. Jan worked many years at Younkers and recently attended DMACC. Jan enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Jan is survived by her husband, Tim Evans; mother, LaWanna Rollins; children, Patrick (Ava) Wells and Sarah (Mike) Brown; grandchildren, Brooke, Mallory, Jillian, Quade and Haidyn; siblings, Jeri (Steve) Landon, Penny (Rich) Seidenkranz, Robert Bullington, Connie (Robert) Terry, Casey (Tammy) Bullington; step siblings, Donna, Gloria, Teresa, Pam, Kathy and Jerry and her cat, Benny who meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry and a niece Sunshine.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the funeral home for funeral expenses.
