The history and the strength of our loved one is the foundation we now rest on, he gave us all the greatest gift anyone could ever give. He believed in us. Our father, grandfather, uncle and friend will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Wayne was born in Des Moines on December 23, 1929, to Richard L. and Icil L. (Patterson) Irving. He was a member of the Pioneer Masonic Lodge and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine. Wayne had worked at Parr Manufacturing for 18 years, retiring in 1994.
Wayne is survived by his daughters, Louanne (Claire) Williams and Jill (Terry) Rivera, both of Des Moines and Michelle Harclerode and Linda (Larry) Luttrell, both of Riverside, CA; ten grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Irving, his parents and his sister, Jeannine Leonard.
Memorial graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Living Center at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Des Moines.
